Why Wouldn't You Wear Sports Bras Made By Bra Designers?

Are you still wearing an old-school, pull-over-the-head, stretchy sports bra?  WELL...SHAME ON US, we must not be doing our job of educating you on ALL kinds of bras during your visit!

Panache Underwire Sports Bra

It would make perfect sense to wear a sports bra made by a brand that specializes in bras, correct?  They focus on the quality of fabrics and design in a way that a company who makes shoes, shirts, pants, accessories (and mostly men's items at that) does not. Panache, Anita, Natori, & Elomi sports bras undergo rigorous testing to ensure that your girls stay in place so you can focus on your workout with comfort and confidence.

These companies also are hip to the fact that women come in all shapes and sizes so they make sports bras in band/cup sizes like your everyday bras ensuring that you get a good fit.  You will also see a back closure on their bras, which is a MUST HAVE for any sort of high impact activity!  Just think about it, if you can pull your sports bra over your shoulders, there's no way it will be firm enough to support the girls.

Don't forget, your undergarments are your second skin and are a barrier against excessive moisture from perspiration that can cause rashes.  A well fitted sports bra with good support for moderate to high impact activities can keep the aches and pains away too. Ill fitted bras with poor support will cause neck, shoulder, & back pain- and get in the way of proper form while working out.

Because these designers know women and the intimates business so well, they even understand the importance of making "no show" colored sports bras that go well under white tops ... see below!

October 2015 Bra Drop Success

Over the holiday's we finally gave our October Bras for Hope donations to the New Endeavors by Women (NEW) right here in Washington, DC and boy it felt good!  NEW transforms lives, by providing housing, fostering the development of life skills, and promoting education and employment, to end the cycle of homelessness.  This organization has helped thousands of women since opening in 1988 and truly love what they do.

Thanks to our amazing customers and community, together we donated 1,027 new/used bras during our 4th Annual Bra Drop this October!

We'd like to thank everyone who contributed new or used bras to us.  It's such a blessing to be able to do this each year.  Hearing about how the bras our community collected are matched with women in need is truly amazing!

This year's success would not have been possible without the help of these lovely ladies from Delta Sigma Theta and the gentlemen from the Eta Delta Delta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi. This is the 2nd year the Deltas have come together to generously donate and deliver 150 BRAND NEW bras to us the day of our Bras for Hope event!  The handsome Omegas reached out to us to collect gently used and new bras on the GMU campus to create awareness about the occurrence of breast cancer in younger women.
